Time was when The Wizard, nestled on the borders of woodland behind the dramatic sandstone escarpment of Alderley Edge, was just another attractive Cheshire pub. These days, it is a serious restaurant with prices to match.

The interior has the best of both worlds – nouveau rustic furnishings under olde worlde beams and it attracts a smart clientele from near and far.

The modern British-cum-Mediterranean menu changes regularly and the cooking is confident and is followed through with professional service and good wines.
