Kids

With an aim of teaching children the importance of healthy eating, appreciating and trying different foods, The Academy of Culinary Arts will tackle food issues head on with a series of fun and exciting workshops aimed at the under 12s.

The workshops will give children a better understanding of food, and their hands-on approach, they will teach children to how to cook and prepare a selection of simple dishes, taught by the academy’s chefs in groups.

The Academy of Culinary Arts’ is a charitable long-term project which focuses on developing an essential understanding of ‘taste’ and teaches children about the pleasures of eating, the provenance of ingredients and the processes by which raw materials are transformed into food. As well as providing a solid basis for learning life skills, it is hoped that this will encourage them to experiment for themselves.

Workshops are completely free of charge. For further information about the academy, please visit www.academyofculinaryarts.org.uk
